Digimon game producers Kazumasa Habu and Takahiro Yokota have confirmed players can expect “multiple” Digimon games that are in early stages.
“Currently, we have multiple Digimon game projects in the pipeline,” said Habu. “And Digimon World: Next Order is actually handled by a new producer that joined the Digimon game team this year.”
The next Digimon game features two protagonists where you choose to play as either Shiki or Takuto. You’ll embark on a journey to restore the Digital World to its natural order after it has spiraled into chaos because of the Machinedramon. You’ll encounter many types of Digimon and recruit them to help restore the world while strengthening their bonds with you.
Growing up, I was heavily enthrealled by the television show and would advidly watch each episode each week. As a fan, it has been nice seeing the franchise receive attenton given it hasn’t been in the spotlight in recent years.
