Digimon Survive

Digimon Survive Launches July 29

After multiple delays and what feels like forever, Digimon Survive has a release date and it’s landing in the middle of the summer.

In an update from Kazumasa Habu, a producer, Bandai Namco announced the highly anticipated Digimon Survive arrives on July 29, one day after launching in Japan.

Originally set to launch way back in 2019, Survive was subsequently delayed into 2020, then into 2021, then into 2022. The project has shifted developer and been hit by Covid-19 restrictions causing delays that directly affected production.

Digimon Survive sees a brand-new group of teenagers, led by Takuma Momozuka, get lost on a school camping trip, finding them transported to a strange new world of monsters and danger.

As they fight their way back home through an animated world of difficult decisions and deadly battles, players’ choices throughout the game will impact the evolution of their monster allies and the final ending. Battles in the game are fought in 2D, in a more classic strategy RPG style.
