Billed as the final weekend of testing and beta-like play for Diablo 4, the Server Slam weekend has arrived! No, it’s not a new WWE Pay Per View event. Instead, Blizzard wants to test the game’s servers and needs your help.
After a couple of primarily successful weekends of closed and open betas in March, the goal this time is for the team to see just how far they can test the limits of their online systems. As expected, there were some reports of crashing, lag, and odd bugs throughout the beta weekends. This weekend should see if the improvements they’ve made in the last month are working.
During Server Slam, the team will be testing the durability of the servers and are calling upon everyone to dive into Sanctuary and slay some demons. This version of Diablo 4 will be similar to the previous Open Beta weekends; however, it will include all bug fixes… plus some new rewards for playing!
Some Changes To Be Aware Of
While Diablo 4 level progression carried over from one beta weekend to the next, character progress made during those weekends will not carry over to Server Slam; also, remember that any progress made during Server Slam will not carry over to launch. You can also max out your classes at level 20 this time.
May 13th starting at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET and every 3 hours thereafter until the final spawn on May 14 at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET.
A New Reward
We haven’t had any experience with mounts in Diablo 4 yet, but an added reward for defeating Ashava will be a ‘mount trophy’ you can add to your steed once they become available at lunch.
If you didn’t get a chance to earn the rewards offered in the beta weekends, they would be available once again. Additionally, two titles will also be up for grabs:
- Initial Casualty Title: earned by reaching Kyovashad with one character.
- Early Voyager Title: earned by reaching Level 20 on one character.
You can now download Diablo 4 for the Sever Slam weekend on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles.
