During the gamescom 2019 edition of Inside Xbox, the bombshell confirmation that big titles like Devil May Cry V, Blair Witch, and Ape Out were only three of the eight titles confirmed for Xbox Game Pass.
August is a stellar month for the service which also includes Age of Empires: Definitive Edition(Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate), Stellaris (Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and coming soon to Xbox Game Pass for PC) and Devil May Cry (Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) arrives on August 19. Following that on August 22, Ape Out (Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) and Kingdom Come: Deliverance (Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate). If you want more – no problem! August 27 brings Bard’s Tale IV: Director’s Cut (Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) and finally, on August 30 Blair Witch (Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) hits the service!
Whew! I thought that was all from Xbox but no, Dead Cells (Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) launches on September 5.
We also learned more about the Xbox Game Pass for PC and the new Xbox app that arrived during E3 this year. Listening to feedback from the community making it easier to find titles in your Library.
First, in addition to adding friends via their Xbox Gamertags, you’ll now be able to search for friends from Facebook or Steam that are also on Xbox. You’ll also be able to link your accounts for YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Discord, and Reddit on your player card so your friends can follow your gaming adventures no matter where you are. Next up, a way to filter and improve how you manage games within your Xbox app on PC. Soon, you’ll be able to take advantage of new filter options from the sidebar to make finding your favorite games and managing your DLC even easier. Also, you can now display disk space required for each game, and enable you to select the drive where you want your games installed. Lastly, the Xbox Game Pass mobile app now includes PC titles and it is currently in beta. To take advantage of these features, gamers can download the Xbox Game Pass mobile app (Beta) available on iOS and Android devices. This feature is available in public beta on Android devices, and in a closed Beta on iOS devices, and we will have more to share soon.
