Last month, Skybound Games announced they had picked up the rights and would help finish the final season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead. Since then, we’ve waited to hear news on the status of the game and what the studio was doing to finish the game.
Now we know. After dealing with legalities of transferring the rights to Skybound Games, and hiring staff who worked on the final season at Telltale, they are now in active production working on the final two episodes.
While Skybound is just now starting on the final two episodes, we don’t know a release date for the final two episodes. For now, the final season will be taken off storefronts while the transition to the studio. When completed, the game will return to stores and those who already purchased the game won’t have to do anything.
