Detroit: Become Human Launches May 25

Are you ready to become human? David Cage, the director of Detroit: Become Human, took to the PlayStation Blog to reveal when we would be able to get our hands on his latest project: May 25. The studio behind Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls returns with an entirely new premise, and one that comes across as something that can very well happen with AI in the future.

Detroit: Become Human takes place in a dystopian version of the future where the androids we’ve created have begun to feel emotions. Things soon begin to unravel and we follow three of these androids as we watch them take control of their lives.

Connor is a prototype designed to help human investigators on cases involving androids; Kara becomes a fugitive by empathizing with a little girl, united in their dream of freedom; Markus will become the leader of the Android revolution.

In classic Quantic Dream fashion, this is an action-adventure game that works with your choices and consequences to create a unique experience for each player, with Detroit: Become Human, Cage expresses how unique the game will be with many choices being made available to push the story.

“In order to depict the world of Detroit, we have also developed the most spectacular 3D engine we have ever created. We tried to push the limits of the PS4 as far as we could, with hundreds of highly realistic characters, full performance capture, scenes featuring crowds, all with a level of quality that we had never reached before. We have also imagined a new way of playing a story where you are in direct control of a complex story where any of your choices may have consequences. In order to depict the world of Detroit, we have also developed the most spectacular 3D engine we have ever created.
