Destiny 2 Has A Lot Of Content Left

Bungie is going to keep improving Destiny 2 with a steady stream of content. A new expansion was revealed today and it is called Beyond Light, which arrives this September.  Bungie unveiled its next Destiny 2 season – Season of Arrivals – which launches today. In addition, both Destiny 2: The Witch Queen and Destiny 2: Lightfall will launch in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

After a live event this weekend, which saw Rasputin return to full power and damage The Tower, this event leads to the new Season of Arrivals.

Mysterious Pyramid ships have been making their way to our solar system and while we don’t know why we do know they intend to cause trouble. The moon of Io sees the arrival of the first Pyramid ship, we watch as this kicks off the new season and well into the Beyond Light expansion.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light
A new power is born out of the ancient Pyramid ship above Europa, and a dark empire has risen beneath. In the Destiny 2: Beyond Light expansion, Guardians will explore a changed universe, with a new destination, new adventures, and even new powers to explore.

Beyond Light sees Guardians exploring Jupiter’s frozen moon Europa. The glacial location is a frontier and full of danger, and the Golden Age Braytech facility that hides ancient secrets under the ice.

There’s also a new power: Stasis and it is rooted in Darkness. Guardians wield the new elemental power alongside Arc, Solar, and Void to summon epic supers. Each class uses Stasis in different ways.

Below the frozen tundra of Europa lies the Deep Stone Crypt. For decades it has remained dormant. Guardians will test their skill and teamwork in this brand new six-person raid, where glorious rewards await.

In addition to all the new information revealed today, Bungie also confirmed that Destiny 2 will be a cross-generational game and is coming to both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Purchases will transfer via Smart Delivery on Series X and PlayStation 4 will also gain a free upgrade.
