Dead by Daylight is growing by two as Behaviour Interactive has announced a new single-player experience from Until Dawn and The Quarry‘s Supermassive Games and a multiplayer PvE experience from Midwinter Entertainment.
The announcements come from the Dead by Daylight Anniversary Stream, which happened earlier today. Fans can expect the Supermassive experience in the Dead by Daylight world, which sounds exciting given the two studios seem like a perfect match. “The game will offer players an intense narrative experience filled with powerful life-or-death choices set within the backdrop of Dead by Daylight,” a press release says.
“We’re obviously all horror fans here at Supermassive and massive fans of Dead by Daylight. Now we’re thrilled to be collaborating with Behaviour on a brand new single-player interactive story game set in the terrifying omniverse of Dead by Daylight,” says Steve Goss, Studio Director at Supermassive Games.
Supermassive’s project will be “outside the Entity’s realm and feature the story of a new cast of characters who players will follow for an unprecedented experience beyond the fog.”
Regarding the second project from Midwinter Entertainment, this collaboration is more in-line with what Behaviour has worked on in the past. It’ll be a PvE experience and will “reimagine” the experience in a new way.
“This multiplayer PVE game will tackle themes of greed and lust for power, with teams of up to 4 players taking on a strange new corner of The Entity’s Realm,” the company announced in a press release.
“It’s been almost a year since Midwinter joined the Behaviour family to work on a brand new project set in the Dead by Daylight universe.
“One of the things we love most about the world of Dead by Daylight is the infinite possibilities. We thought about the game’s multiplayer action, which we love, and reimagined it in a completely new way,” says Mary Olsen, Studio Head at Midwinter Experience.
