After revealing a lengthy demo last year that took the world by storm, this year features a shorter, denser Cyberpunk 2077 demo. The demo was shown to press at E3 in June, and since then most people were questioning whether we’d ever see the closed doors demo. As it were, we are in fact able to see what press saw a few months ago!
Character creation is a big takeaway from the demo. Players are able to choose either a male or female body type but there are no specified genders. You’re free to pick your preferred body and voice types without assigning gender to your character. This is different from what we saw last year where specified gender roles were present, now, things have changed for the better.
This year we get a look at two possible ways to play Cyberpunk 2077 with a solo build that focuses on blunt force and instant action, and a net runner which focuses on stealth tactics, hacking and using malicious software. We get a look at a district, a glimpse of Johnny Silverhand and according to the devs, a section deep into the story. Spoiler warning for those who intend on watching the video!
