Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course Sells 1 Million Copies

DLC has Gone Platinum in Less than Two Weeks

Just less than two weeks since the release of Cuphead’s long-awaited release of The Delicious Last Course seems to be a hit with fans as developer Studio MDHR has revealed that the DLC has sold one million units across all platforms.

As a part of the announcement Studio MDHR’s studio director and executive producer, Maja Moldenhauer revealed that the DLC “marks an even quicker timeline than it took for the original game to achieve this momentous feat.” The studio director also shared some thankful heartfelt words for herself and the team who put their heart and soul into the DLC while sharing the milestone news.

“We are just beside ourselves with joy and appreciation, these words certainly do not encompass how grateful we are, but to the amazing Cuphead players worldwide we say nonetheless: thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” Moldenhauer said in a blog post.

To celebrate the news, Studio MDHR says they are gifting a PS5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch console, in order to win check out the instructions down below.

“From start to finish, The Delicious Last Course was a true labour of love. We challenged ourselves every step of the way to deliver the most ambitious design, animation, and music we had ever created to tell the story of Ms. Chalice, and craft a fitting conclusion to this part of Cuphead and Mugman’s journey. In the many years that have passed since we set out to make the game that would become Cuphead, we have come to think of this trio of plucky heroes as friends of ours, and the fantastical world of the Inkwell Isles they inhabit as a place we ourselves have been to,” Moldenhauer said in a blog post.

Cuphead and Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course are both currently available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
