During today’s Final Fantasy VII 25th anniversary celebration, Square Enix announced a full remake of Crisis Core, a prequel starring Zack Fair. After years of being stuck on the PSP, a full remake is coming this winter.
Originally launching in 2007, Crisis Core has been hard to find for newcomers as it was never made available for digital consumption. Now, it looks like a true remaster is going to make things right as Zack Fair is tasked with finding the mission SOLDIER 1st Class Genesis Rhapsodos, while we meet newcomers like Angeal and the younger version of Tifa, Cloud, and Sephiroth.
Square Enix says the game will be improved with upgrade graphics, fully-voiced dialogue from the new cast and new arrangements for the soundtrack. Furthermore, you don’t need any prior knowledge to enjoy Crisis Core as it is a standalone experience that anyone can enjoy but having played previous games will make the game far richer.
Crisis Core -Final Fantast VII- REUNION will launch this Winter on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, PC & Nintendo Switch.
