During this time of the year when review season is really popping off is usually when the conversation of The Game Awards is not on anyone’s mind. Today is one of those very rare instances when we have an idea of a possible game announcement that will make a reported appearance at Geoff Keighley’s produced show, according to VGC the game in question will be a brand new Crash Bandicoot game titled Crash Bandicoot Wumpa League.
The intrigue in Crash Bandicoot made the rounds today with the reveal on social media that Activision sent media packages to press and influencers to promote the news of Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time’s Steam release on October 18th. The official package came with a pizza box featuring Aku Aku as the mascot of the fictional pizza franchise. The interesting thing is on the side of the box is a sticker that reads “Hungry for more? Try our new Wumpa Pizza for $12.08.”
The specific price amount is suspicious as it is the exact day when The Game Awards is going down which is December 8th so pretty obvious what game Activision is playing, it’s a new Crash Bandicoot game. To add to that back in August of this year, Toys for Bob – the developer of Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time teased their next game project with a list of every game project they were the main developer for including a mysterious 18th project, hinting the team is doing more than the work it’s putting in at the Call of Duty coal mine.
Thanks for playing along, how many did you guess correctly? Ya know, it's pretty convenient we have more wall space to cover… 😉 pic.twitter.com/g4A5hkAHk3

Now Crash Bandicoot Wumpa League wasn’t revealed here but that title has been rumoured as of the last few weeks and is apparently not a mainline title aka ‘Crash 5’ but instead is rumoured to be a multiplayer game. This is all just speculation as of right now as we seemingly wait for the official announcement to reveal itself later this year, I do wish they’d give us Spyro 4 too.
