Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Sells Five Million Copies

After over three months since Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty‘s launch, CD Projekt RED has announced in a post on Twitter that the 2020 game’s expansion has now sold over five million copies.

The last time we heard sales numbers for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty was back in late November last year in a CD Projekt’s Q3 2023 earnings report, which revealed the expansion had sold 4.3 million copies at the time, meaning holiday sales did pretty well to bring it over that milestone hump. The earnings report also revealed that at the time, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty had a 20 percent attach rate for players who owned the base game, which is over 25 million copies strong across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia platforms.

“Without a doubt, Phantom Liberty is Cyberpunk 2077 as it was always meant to be. CD Projekt Red rolled with the punches and produced one of the best games ever produced by them. The storytelling and performances are incredible and will stick with you. For those who want to focus on Update 2.0, it’s worth returning to see how different the experience is three years later,” Bobby said in our review of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty first launched on September 26th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
