Codemasters revealed an all-new Grid is in development and it’s coming later this year to consoles and PC. Simply titled Grid, this entry serves as a reboot for the series that started in 2008.
Set for release in September, we get our first glimpse of Grid via IGN in a reveal trailer. While there’s next to nothing in terms of gameplay in the footage, we get a look at a Porsche 911 with gameplay on a track at night. It’s looking really good from the minute or so we saw. The rewind feature the series is known for makes a return as well.
The fourth game in the series, Grid delivers intense wheel to wheel racing action, spanning four continents in some of the world’s most famous city streets and race circuits. Choose cars from GT, Touring, Stock, Muscle, Super-Modified and more, across race types including Circuit, Street Racing, Ovals, Hot Laps, Point-to-Point and World Time Attack.
Other than that though, no other news is available and we’re likely to see more at this year’s E3 event in Los Angeles.
UPDATE: Looks like IGN has another video with actual gameplay. In the clip, we see how good Grid looks, as well as our first look at the Nemesis system in which the AI adapts to you.
Grid will be launching on September 13, 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
