Goose Byte Games and Balor Games claim to be weirdly proud to show off Sponge Break — a one-to four-player co-op rafting adventure that promises players spunky sponges escaping the tyranny of the kitchen sink on a raft held together by little more than wishful thinking.
Sponge Break floats on through a simple set of rules:
You’re a sponge. You’re on a raft. The raging river is trying to destroy you. Chaos everywhere, but you and up to three friends have the tool needed to escape — your trusty plunger-hook.
Use proximity, which is hilariously lip-synced from the mic to the players’ sponges, to work together.
Steer the raft together, or don’t, and solve puzzles to open pathways, navigate environmental dangers, avoid being set on fire and fight Canada’s very own: beavers!
The stakes have never been so real!
One mistake can flip the raft, scattering your gear, dealing damage, and quickly ending your team’s escape run.
The full journey will take you through sewers, rivers, abandoned facilities and more!
Between runs, hang out at safehouses to patch up, revive, restock and have a quick argument before setting sail again.
