Clockwork Aquario Is Finally Releasing After 3 Decades

Clockwork Aquario

Strictly Limited Games is working on bringing over a lost arcade title from the early 1990s and it sure looks good.

At the time, Japanese arcades were populated with dozens of fighting games and 3D games and their popularity lead to Clockwork Aquario’s cancellation. It is said that this game pushed the Sega System 18 arcade hardware to the limits. Thankfully companies like Strictly Limited Games’ mission is to find unreleased games; three years ago they set out to find this game and bring it back to life.

While some aspects of the original could not be recovered from the source code (music, sound, and graphics), this led to speaking to as many original Westone staff members as possible; this includes Takanori Kurihara, composer Shinichi Sakamoto and Ryuichi Nishizawa.

There’s a teaser website you can head to here.
