Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 just released new content as Sandfall Interactive’s debut game swept The Game Awards 2025.
“Speaking for everyone involved in the development and release of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, we want to thank you, every single one of the fans, for what an unimaginable year of success our game has had in 2025. As a show of thanks, we’re dropping a major content update to the game on PS5 right now (for free!),” says Guillaume Brochem, CEO and Creative Director at Sandfall Interactive.
The new content includes Verso’s Drafts, with new environments, new battles, and tons of other surprises to uncover. The new biome is very childlike and features a wonderland aesthetic inspired by Verso’s childhood, with more cutscenes set to elaborate on the biome in the update.
With the new update comes new music from Lorien Testard.
“I lived the creation of the last songs of the OST as a farewell to this whole adventure and to the characters who have accompanied my life and imagination for five years. I’m happy to know that today it was just a goodbye… We had the chance to compose music for a very special level, a deep and playful part of Verso’s childhood. Who would have thought he loved sweets so much when he was younger?
“It gave us the opportunity to have a lot of fun, to dance and to laugh while creating these songs; you can even hear Alice’s natural laughter in one of them! And then the time came to write the last track of the album… once again, the time to say goodbye. I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, if it will be clair or obscur, but I know it’s within that in-between that dreams blossom. Thank you for dreaming with us,” says Testard.
In Verso’s Drafts, there are tons of unlockables, including 13 new weapons to unlock, which fall in line with the new environment, 16 new Luminas, and more costumes and hairstyles for each character.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 also finally has a photo mode with 33 filters to toggle, plus effects, tons of customization, including field of view, colour grading, and more.
Luminas can now be saved as a preset in Lumina loadouts, the option to abandon battles, and more text language support, which adds Czech, Ukrainian, Mexican Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian, bringing the total number of supported languages to 19, with more planned for the future.
