When Chained Echoes launches later this year, it’ll come with a minigame players can access called Turtle Race. In this mode, there will be a 15-second track from mathcore band ZILF, confirms publisher Deck13 and developer Matthias Linda.
In Turtle Race, players will place chips and bet on one of four turtles to win, this is one of several minigames Chained Echoes will have when it launches closer to the end of 2021.
“When we got asked to write a 15 seconds mathcore song for a bunch of turtles racing each other in a pixel art JRPG game”, says the band, “We answered, “That’s the most ZILF thing we’ve ever heard.”
Chained Echoes is a classic JRPG that features customizable airships and huge Mechs. The story-driven game will feature an easy to learn but hard to master turn-based combat system and no weird random encounters, the publisher says that each fight is handcrafted. Also, expect complex skill and equipment systems that will challenge players.
