Chained Echoes is Releasing on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch in Q4 2022
Publisher, Deck13 Spotlight and developer, Matthias Linda have announced that 16-bit SNES-inspired RPG, Chained Echoes will launch on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch sometime in Q4 2022.
Chained Echoes is a story-driven game set on the continent of Valandis which has had its fair share of war, recently rumours of a weapon of mass destruction have stirred up leaving the world in imminent danger. To stop it a group of strangers must come together to restore peace and maybe even destroy the world-ending weapon too. The game take place in a medieval-inspired world in some parts as it features not just dragons but futuristic tech.
Players will be able to choose from characters who fight with weapons like swords, magic or even a freakin’ mech. Chained Echoes will feature a variety of landscapes as a group of heroes explore a land filled to the brim with charming characters and forgotten dungeons. Along the way, players will attempt to end the war between the game’s three kingdoms that’s been waging for generations.
The game first reached the hearts and minds of RPG fans when the Chained Echoes’ Kickstarter launched back in February 2019, the month campaign asked initially for €60,000 (approximately $82,279 CAD) but went on to accumulate €130,409 (approximately $178,833 CAD) thanks to 4.655 backers. Along the way, it passed a couple of stretch goals including extra characters, post-game content, localization in other languages, mini-games, new game+, more extras, and a Nintendo Switch version.
