It’s been a while since we’ve seen Raw Fury show off Bytten Studio’s Cassette Beasts, a game where you transform two monsters into a unique and powerful new monster. The Pokémon-inspired game has been in development for some time and features a neat Fusion System that caught my attention a couple of years ago.
Today’s new video showcases New Wirral, the setting found in Cassette Beasts, where you’ll find many of these monsters and where you’ll collect and fuse them into even stronger allies. The whole idea behind the game is you use cassette tapes to capture and transform each creature.
With the local resident of Harbourtown, New Wirral in constant risk of threat from monsters, the town decides to fight back by recording monsters to tape and fighting back against the threat. The developer promises an open-world to explore filled with puzzles, dungeons, and more.
We’ll report back when a release date for Cassette Beasts is confirmed.
