Everything Shown During Day 2 Of Capcom Highlights

Capcom has released new information on several upcoming titles during its Capcom Highlights Day 2 video presentation. The broadcast showcased Akuma, set to appear in Street Fighter 6, and provided more details on the return of Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin on new platforms.

The presentation also included previewing new modes, playable Exosuit variants in Exoprimal, and collaboration with the Mega Man series.

Street Fighter 6

Akuma will join the Street Fighter 6 roster in Spring 2024, completing the list of Year 1 characters. Players can use Akuma in all three game modes, including Fighting Ground, World Tour, and Battle Hub. Capcom promises to share more information on Akuma and plans to announce Year 2 content and events for the Battle Hub.

In addition, the Street Fighter 6 Battle Hub currently features a Mega Man-themed Fighting Pass, offering players various rewards related to the famous robot. The Street Voter event included in the pass allows players to vote on their favourite Mega Man game.

Monster Hunter

Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be released on new platforms this summer. The first game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on June 14, 2024, while the sequel is already available on Nintendo Switch and PC.

The games offer turn-based RPG action, and players can expect new features such as full Japanese and English voiceovers, seven new subtitle languages, and a new Museum Mode with over 200 pieces of concept art, background music, and developer sketches. Both entries boast enhanced visuals with refined modelling, textures, and high-definition lighting.

In Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, players follow in the footsteps of their grandfather, Red, a legendary Rider, and ride Monsties with Ena, a Wyverian girl who has been entrusted with an egg with the potential to hatch into a Rathalos. This legendary monster holds immense power, and players must test their bonds of friendship with Monsties and uncover the hidden truths behind ancient legends.

Exoprimal

Exoprimal Title Update 4 prepares for dimensional integration on April 17, 2024. The dino-blasting action game’s latest free content expansion summons two new game modes and six additional Exosuit variants to wield in the wargames. The coming season will also include collaborating with the Mega Man series, which will roll out a rockin’ new boss battle and Blue Bomber-themed cosmetics. The two new modes coming as part of Title Update 4 include:

  • “Time Loop Rebellion” – In this co-op challenge mode, 10 players take on the game’s final boss, the Behemoth, in an even more powerful form. By achieving certain feats in this high-difficulty mode, Exofighters can earn rewards, including golden “first class” Exosuit skins to display their combat mastery.
  • “Custom Match” – Players can create their lobbies in this mode and select exactly which map and mission type they wish to play. These custom rooms can also be shared with players on different platforms, so friends can progress through the story in Dino Survival mode together and team up to take on Savage Gauntlet and Time Loop Rebellion. Custom Match also offers a new setting called “Quick Brawl,” which allows Exofighters to choose and jump straight into their favourite final missions – including those that are more PvP-focused.

Exoprimal also adds six new Beta variant Exosuits, adding 30 playable suits with more modules and mortar rig to customize.

  • Zephyr Beta: Boost Claws
  • Vigilant Beta: Bowhunter
  • Krieger Beta: Blitz Cannon
  • Murasame Beta: Windcaller
  • Witchdoctor Beta: Plasma Shot
  • Nimbus Beta: Wild Bomb
