The previous beta for the upcoming soft reboot of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare introduced the new 2v2 Gunfight mode, which I walked away from being highly impressed. We even talked about the new mode with Beenox’s Marc-Alexandre Boulanger-Milot, the Game Director over at Beenox working on porting Modern Warfare to PC.
A second beta is coming and this time begins on Thursday, September 12 and runs Monday, September 16. The first two days are exclusive to those who pre-ordered the game on PlayStation 4, with an open beta beginning on Saturday, September, 14 until Monday, September 16. Be among the first to experience the intense multiplayer action, ranging from the quick, close-quarter 2v2 Gunfight mode, to traditional 6v6 multiplayer gameplay and larger player count firefights. This year features a new engine for the series and the gunplay has never felt better, as impactful, and engaging. There are also new mechanics like bullet penetration, gun mounting, door breaching, and night vision goggles.
Following the first weekend, a second wave begins on Thursday, September 19 and Friday, September 20 for all PlayStation 4 owners. An open beta period begins on Saturday, September 21 and runs until Monday, September 23 for all players on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
