Another year, another iteration of Call of Duty. as Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare II is set to launch in October. Today marks the official release date reveal — and the marketing teams decided to do that by enlisting a team to maneuver a massive cargo ship containing 90,000 square foot Modern Warfare II wrap.
As the ship began to dock in port in Long Beach, the reveal was of Ghost, one of the operator’s players will handle in-game when the sequel launches on October 28, 2022.
A drone captured footage of the event as the ship began to dock, completing our look at Task Force 141, the group of characters starring in the next Call of Duty game.
It should be noted that this iteration of Modern Warfare II is a sequel to the 2019 reboot. In 2007, Infinity Ward launched the first Modern Warfare followed by a sequel in 2009, and again in 2011. MW2 is also one of the most popular sequels the series has ever had spawning some iconic missions, maps, and characters.
