Gunsmithing, according to Infinity Ward, is a “robust weapon customization option for your two main Loadout weapons.” Both the primary and the Secondary Weapon features the ability to augment the precision type and style of firepower needed “for any type of multiplayer game mode.” Each weapon features up to five parts that offer customization. Using the assault rifle as an example, there are nine areas of the weapon to augment: The Muzzle, Lasers, Optic, Stock, Rear Grip, Magazine, Underbarrel, Barrel, or a Perk.
An official reveal is set for August 1, 2019 at 1:00 PM EST.
