Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Worldwide Reveal Set For August 17

The company has confirmed that Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be officially unveiled on August 17.

A new trailer teasing the inclusion of Vladimir Makarov has confirmed the return of Vladimir Makarov, the antagonist previously featured in Modern Warfare (2007). He first appears as a secondary antagonist and later plays a more prominent role in subsequent games.

Makarov is a former associate of Imran Zakhaev, a key antagonist in the series. After Zakhaev’s death, Makarov becomes a driving force behind international terrorist acts. His motivations are rooted in a desire for revenge and a twisted ideology that justifies extreme violence to achieve his goals.

Throughout the series, Makarov is responsible for numerous atrocities, including the infamous airport massacre in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, where he leads an attack on a civilian airport. This event is a turning point in the narrative and highlights his brutal nature.
