Data miners are currently sifting through the files of the latest update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone.
From the files, miners have found a few noteworthy tidbits that may help us learn when Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War could potentially launch and if the files are true, it’s actually very soon.
According to this thread, the next Call of Duty arrives in three editions. You can purchase, the Standard Edition, which is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC only, the Cross-Gen bundle, which includes the base game and a copy for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X depending on which console you purchase on. Lastly, the Ultimate Edition was mentioned which includes the cross-gen offers and also bonus content:
- Land, Sea and Air Pack
- 3 Operator Skins
- 3 Vehicle Skins
- 3 Weapon Blueprints
- Battle Pass Bundle (1 Season Battle Pass + 20 Tier Skips)
- Confrontation Weapons Pack
Those who pre-order gain early access to the beta, Frank Woods as an Operator in Modern Warfare/Warzone and also an assault rifle blueprint, 10 tier skips for use in Modern Warfare/Warzone.
Data miners have scrubbed data and discovered a potential release date of November 13, 2020. We’ll learn more on August 26.
UPDATE: It’s official! Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is coming on November 13, 2020. Serving as a direct continuation of the original Black Ops, it will be set in the early 1980s and “drops players into the depth of the Cold War’s volatile geopolitical universe in a gripping experience where nothing is as it seems.” Alongside the campaign, players will use Cold War weapons and equipment in the multiplayer portion of the game, and also a new Zombie experience.
