Call of Duty: Warzone Will Share Content Across Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War

So I am going to start this post by being totally honest… It’s been a while since I’ve played a Call of Duty game… Like, since the original Modern Warfare.

But should I feel the need to jump back in, it’s probably a good time to do so because it’s looking like Infinity Ward has a lot of plans surrounding the upcoming launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on November 13th.

It also appears that a lot of those plans surround Call of Duty’s free-to-play Warzone battle royale mode.

Starting on Launch Day and continuing through Season One and beyond, Warzone players will start to see new weapons, cosmetics and maps coming to the game inspired by  Black Ops Cold War.

The initial drop will happen in  Black Ops Cold War but will also apply to Warzone. You’ll be starting in a fresh player progression system, but it’ll apply to both titles while retaining what you’ve done before.

There’s a new seasonal levelling system that will count towards your prestige level, allowing you access to new operators and new unlockables. A lot of the new unlockables will be free and earned simply by playing multiple Call of Duty titles.

Operators are also getting an overhaul as there will be a wide variety from Black Ops Cold War, who will be unlockable through both the base game and the Warzone mode.

And for those wondering what’s happening to Warzone’s Battle Pass, it’s only going to get better! Unlockables you’ve claimed will be available in both games, and there’ll be lots of Season One content coming to the Battle Pass starting December 10th.

Maybe I should start spending some time in Verdansk!
