Beyond Good and Evil

Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition Launches June 25

Rather than reveal Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition during Ubisoft Forward, the French publisher revealed it during today’s Limited Run LRG3 2024.

Beyond Good & Evil is set on the planet Hillys, attacked by a mysterious alien race known as the DomZ. The government, represented by the Alpha Sections, claims to protect the population, but there are suspicions about its true intentions.

The protagonist, Jade, is a photojournalist who lives in a lighthouse with her uncle Pey’j and a group of orphans she cares for. Jade becomes involved with the IRIS Network, an underground resistance movement that seeks to expose the truth about the DomZ and the Alpha Sections.

The Anniversary Edition brings upgraded performance up to 4K, 60 frames per second, and quality of life improvements, including autosave, cutscene-skip, complete controller and keyboard and mouse support, and cross-platform saves.

Ubisoft reveals Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition also includes remapped controls, improved graphics, and updated audio, with more than 15 pieces of the soundtrack re-recorded by a live orchestra under the direct supervision of Christophe Héral.

Additionally, there is a Speedrun Mode where you can track your best times as you complete the campaign with no saves allowed.

There are also 20 new Achievements to discover. A new treasure hunt in Hillys will link Jade’s childhood to Beyond Good & Evil 2.

Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition launches for Xbox Series, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC on June 25.
