Just days after its release, Beast of Reincarnation has its first major patch update.
Game Freak and publisher Fictions have shared information about changes they are making to performance, gameplay, and quality of life.
Camera focus on the player — both in and out of battle — is receiving an update, and future updates will allow adjustments to the camera’s distance from the player and its presentation style.
Text size throughout the game has been updated, with subtitle customization being a promised focus in an upcoming patch.
Cutscenes will be altered so that they don’t fire back-to-back, while “Affinity” conversations will now trigger only once per day.
The default cinematic cutscene setting has been changed from “Cinematic” to “Performance” mode. While you can still use the original mode by choice, this new change will improve cutscene play.
A future patch will allow players to replay cutscenes.
The very way you play can be changed, with the settings menu now allowing you to customize the “Interact” button binding independently.
Going easier on Emma, there will be adjustments to the parry window when she is taking damage.
Finally, the team is fixing a bug where, if the interact button is mapped to the square/X button, pressing it during the story event where you talk to Kagura on the Walker would incorrectly prioritize “rest until morning,” preventing you from talking to Kagura.
Beast of Reincarnation is available now for PC via Steam.
