In a new video trailer, Battlefield Studios has outlined what will be happening in Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC for the rest of 2026.
In the video, which is aptly just over six minutes long, we first learn that Season 3 kicks off in May with a nostalgic reimagining of a classic Battlefield 4 map, now called Railway to Golmud.
It is promising to be the biggest map in Battlefield 6 to date.

Set within Tajikistan after the events of the campaign, this fan favourite has been modernized and optimized to match its visual fidelity and gameplay.
Closer to the end of Season 3, another legendary map arrives in the form of an update! Battlefield 3’s Grand Bazaar is back, bigger and with more life, now called Cairo Bazaar.
Keeping the spirit of competition alive in Battlefield REDSEC, Ranked Play finally comes to Season 3. This will come to life as Battle Royale Quads, evolving as more seasons pass and as the community shares feedback and requests.
Summer is perfect for sailing, and that’s what’s coming in Season 4, launching with the release of Naval Warfare in both Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. The new naval map, Tsuru Reef, will be the biggest warzone yet. Take the fighting to two different fronts, with gigantic air and sea spaces, new naval-based vehicles, aircraft carriers with operational flight decks, plus a dynamic wave system that will heighten the intensity of ocean combat. Season 4 will also bring celebrations to the high seas, as Wake Island, one of the most celebrated maps in the series’ history, returns!
2026Later this year, Season 5 closes 2026 by taking us to a new location and rewarding us with the special holiday jackpot of three maps dropping within a single season.
Throughout the rest of the year, Battlefield Studios will be working with the community to enhance the overall experience with quality of life updates, better battle systems, leaderboards, a spectator mode, the release of proximity chat, and an eagerly anticipated Server Browser with Persistent Servers to give players even more options to host and play preferred experiences.
Bringing camaraderie and opportunity for esports development, Open and Elite competitive series modes will become the pinnacle of competition in Battlefield. When the rollout later this year is complete, once the work with the community to evolve the Ranked Play experience is done, truly competitive combat in Battlefield will come to life on the global stage.
We are going to be busy battling for the rest of 2026!
