Revealed today as part of Nintendo Direct, Bandai Namco revealed Baten Kaitos I & II are getting remastered with a launch set for later this summer.
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean and Baten Kaitos Origins return with remastered graphics. Bandai Namco is working on improving the graphics with new features meant to aid game progression.
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean tells the story of Kalas, on a revenge-seeking mission to avenge his brother and grandfather. With Xelha, the duo embarks on a journey to fight the Alfard Empire.
Baten Kaitos Origins is a prequel set 20 years before the first game. Playing as Sagi, a spiriter connected to the Guardian Spirits must set out on a journey to clear his name after being framed.
What I find curious regarding Bandai Namco though, is why we’re getting Tales of Symphonia Remastered, but not the direct sequel from the Wii. Either way, JRPG fans have a lot to look forward to this year.
