If you want more than just the BAFTA Game Awards gala happening on April 7, you might want to check out one or all three of this year’s BAFTA Game Sessions.
There are three themed sessions starting this Friday that will take viewers into a number of this year’s awards-nominated titles, with special behind-the-scenes content, interviews with developers and talent, special cameos and most importantly, the joy of sharing games with a community of gamers from the UK and around the world.
The sessions are as follows:
Starting bright and early on March 31st at 9:00 a.m. ET, the BAFTA Game Awards will team up with Black Twitch UK for a special inaugural Black Games Challenge. Two teams of six women from Black Twitch UK will go head-to-head in totally non-confrontational and downright polite competition in a number of nominated games.
On Friday at noon ET, BAFTA Game Sessions resents Mindful Gaming — a chill celebration of the calmer nominations. The world is already chaotic and competitive enough, so why not chill out a little?
Next Monday, 2:00 p.m. ET, learn what it takes to create a memorable leading role in a video game as BAFTA Game Sessions presents a sit-down conversation with this year’s nominees in the category of Performer in a Leading Role.
Finally, next Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. ET, celebrate the best of British games live from London Games Festival. BAFTA Games will be joined by some of the smaller devs nominated in the Best British Game category to discuss all things British game design and how they go up against the big dogs.
All of this is taking place over on BAFTA’s Twitch channel, so don’t miss out.
