Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Launches on December 7th

Takes place after the event of the first film

The first significant news coming out of today’s Ubisoft Forward stream was Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which will launch for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series platforms this December.

The game is set in the canon universe of James Cameron’s Avatar films and takes place after the first movie’s events as you play from the perspective of a Navi who was kidnapped at a young age and raised by the RDA, educated on human culture and combat. About 15 years later, you escape from the human facility and return to your clan, but you find yourself a stranger while you attempt to reconnect with your lost culture, what it really means to be Navi and protect the world of Pandora from the RDNA. The gameplay of the previously delayed title will be in first-person similar to Ubisoft’s Far Cry games.

Players will explore the  Western Frontier, a never-before-seen continent of Pandora in a first-person open-world action-adventure title developed in collaboration with Disney and James Cameron’s production company, Lightstorm Entertainment. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is set to launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on December 7th; the upcoming game will feature online two-player co-op.
