In an interview with IGN, Ryota Niitsuma had this to say:
“So first I’d like to mention that since the basic concept of the Persona 3 remake was to remake the Persona 3, we don’t have the FES and Portable contents included,” Niitsuma said. “We wanted to really genuinely work on recreating the Persona 3 experience.
“So we can’t really go into the details at this point yet, but we have remade basically everything from scratch as for Persona 3 the original version,” Niitsuma said. “So we have newly recorded voices, we have new scenes and events. We also have both new and arranged music. We’ll be kind of releasing that information, following everything. So please look forward to that.”
Persona 5 Tactica
Atlus also was on-hand to reveal a tactical sequel to Persona 5 Royal, which will launch in 2024.
“After a strange incident, the Phantom Thieves wander into a bizarre realm where its citizens are living under tyrannical oppression. Surrounded by a military group named Legionnaires, they find themselves in grave danger until a mysterious revolutionary named Erina rescues them and offers an enticing deal in exchange for their help. What truth lies behind Erina and the deal she offers to the Phantom Thieves?
Overthrow your enemies with powerful Personas and an assortment of weapons, and wipe them out with style in this fresh new tactical RPG from the award-winning Persona 5 game.”

The official Atlus West Instagram account prematurely revealed two new games that were likely set to appear during the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday. Those two titles were Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica, a remake and a Persona 5 strategy RPG.
Both trailers were accidentally uploaded early to Instagram, and eagle-eyed users could capture and share the video on social media before it was taken down. From the videos, we’ve learned that Persona 5 Tactica will launch first on November 17, 2023, followed by Persona 3 Reload in early 2024.
A Persona 3 remake has been circulating for some time, with gameplay clips leaking this year. Earlier this week, Atlus updated registered domains for both Persona titles, indicating an imminent update. Given the recent support for the Xbox platform and the videos indicating release across Xbox platforms, these were most likely to be shown on Sunday, with multiplatform support being confirmed after the show.
