Koei Tecmo and Gust are working on delivering Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key later this year. Today, the developer has revealed a few key details regarding the follow-up to Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & The Secret Fairy.
Let’s start with the story in which Ryza heads out to explore a group of islands and regions, each one filled with a mysterious new threat. As Ryza, you have the chance to now solve randomly generated quests but Gust has also added World Quests. These quests when completed, add you to learn more about the region in which they are completed, learning more about the territories and the cast of characters each area introduces. When completing a World Quest, it may lead to changes in the field and other areas.
As you explore each region, you’ll come across bonfires scattered throughout the field where you and your party can rest and cook for your team. The new cooking system allows you to obtain recipes by completing quests, each recipe helping to enhance the party, even allowing a new level of strategy when facing strong enemies.
Also, players can build their own atelier in each region to serve as a base. Each atelier provides several effects depending on the building style – the research base, the farm, and the laboratory. Fan-favourite Puni will accompany Ryza to each atelier building and feed and raise the Puni
Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key will launch on March 24, 2023.
