Assassin’s Creed Mirage gameplay

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Pole Vaults This October

While we won’t see the Prince of Persia soon, the same cannot be said for Basim and Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

At the PlayStation Showcase, a new gameplay trailer for the follow-up to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was shown, providing our first look at the upcoming “return” to the series’ roots. Basim’s got some incredible tricks up his sleeve from the looks of the trailer, with Assassin’s Focus allowing him to mark and assassinate several targets in a row. You also have Assassin’s tools, such as knives and smoke bombs, to help take out targets.

However, what caught my eye is the ability to pole vault now, which we see Basim use to escape enemies as he makes his way through Baghdad. Additionally, we see the Hidden Ones return and help Basim become a Master Assassin. Our protagonist prefers a discreet approach and quiet movements to deal with enemies, and you’ll need to use these skills as Blackbox missions return.

In the trailer, we meet Fuladh, a Rafiq and Eagle Master to the Hidden Ones. There is also Master Roshan, the mentor to Basim and a voice of reason.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage launches on October 12, 2023.
