While we don’t know officially when the Assassin’s Creed Mirage is coming out, it’s being reported that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game is set to release sometime next Spring. It is set to take place during the Anarchy in Samarra between 860 to 870 A.D, players will be inserted into the shoes of Basim as a youthful thief before he joined the Hidden Ones. How Basim becomes the character that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be slowly shown during visions in the game’s story. Longtime fans might be happy to know that eagle vision will be making a return to the series in Assassin’s Creed Mirage but the drone bird mechanic isn’t going anywhere.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is reportedly being treated as a return to the basics type of game for the series, its approach is heavily inspired by the very first Assassin’s Creed game with dialogue choices, level-up system, and gender choice being removed from the game. The gameplay will be slightly different compared to Valhalla with a less savage approach in years past and new animations as well. It’s also being reported that the game will lay the groundwork for an Assassin’s Creed Remake and will be coming later next year as a part of the season pass for Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
Alongside, Assassin’s Creed Mirage Ubisoft is also developing Assassin’s Creed Infinity, its upcoming live service game which is set to feature multiple game settings in one package that is a collaboration between multiple Ubisoft Assassin’s Creed studios.
