Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have announced Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon will launch this August 25, 2023. The publisher has also announced pre-orders are now live.
The trailer paints an idea of what you can expect from Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, and honestly it looks fantastic – the environments and heavy sci-fi elements immediately pull you into the action. And given the scale of this world and the robots, I’m excited to see how the latest sequel holds up when compared to previous games in the series.
A press release provides new details regarding the plot. On Rubicon 3, a new substance called Coral has been discovered, serving as an energy source that is supposedly set to advance humanity’s technological and communications capabilities.
Instead, it caused a catastrophe that ended up engulfing the planet and surrounding stars in flames, forming a Burning Star System. nearly 50 years later and Coral has returned to the planet and it is now up to you to infiltrate Rubicon to stop Extra-terrestrial corporations and resistance groups from taking the Coral.
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is coming to Xbox Series, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC on August 25, 2023.
