Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise Expansion Announced

In addition to today’s free and final update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the game will receive a paid expansion in the form of Happy Home Paradise. The content was revealed earlier today as part of the Animal Crossing Direct that was revealed back in September.

The major reveal out of this morning’s Direct was the addition of Happy Home Paradise that will launch alongside the free expansion on November 5, 2021. This expansion gives you the opportunity to join the Paradise Planning team, where you’ll design vacation homes for some of the residents, and the chance for tons of vactioners to see your designs.

As an employee of Lottie’s Paradise Planning, you have quite a bit of work to do. You’ll need to enlist clients and by doing this, will be giving full privilege of designing and build your client’s dream home. You can decide on the island of where the home will be, then move to the interior where you’ll add the furniture and appliances while learning various design techniques to better the home. These include changing how the home is structured by adding partition walls and pillars, adding counters, ambient lighting and even the soundscapes. Every client will be different and comes with their own requests, you can even head outside and decorate the yard.

The more homes you design, the more furniture becomes available to you to use for new projects. This leads to more recommendations being available including remodeling vacation homes of clients you’ve worked with previously by changing the furniture or introducing them to roommates.

On the island where Lottie’s Paradise Planning is located are several vacant buildings. Lottie plans on developing these buildings and will enlist you to create a school, restaurant, even a cafe.

And what designer doesn’t take photos of their projects? You’ll be able to take photos of each vacation home you design then add them to your catalogue, that can then be shared via the Happy Home Network app on your NookPhone.

Lastly, on November 5, Nintendo will release Animal Crossing Series 5 amiibo cards in select stores and will retail for $6.99 for six cards. In total there are 48 characters in the Series 5 selection of cards, including new characters and never before seen characters.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise launches on November 5, and can be purchased for a one-time fee of $32.99. Or, if you decide to join Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, will be given out as a complimentary feature of the service. An Individual Membership will cost $63.99 for 12 months, while a Family Membership will cost $99.99 for 12 months.
