Developer Anima Project revealed Anima: Song from the Abyss, which is set to launch next year.
The studio says its game is set in the universe of Anima: Beyond Fantasy and features two protagonists you use to explore the world.
After a zeppelin’s crew mysteriously vanishes, the remaining member aboard, Soren, must protect the cargo. He’ll use his skills as a knight to defend the delivery, which is actually a powerful relic from an ancient civilization. However, things go awry, and he ends up unleashing something contained within the relic – putting the world in peril.
After the protagonist ends up in the Abyss, the enigmatic entity reveals itself to Noein and offers the protagonist a chance to survive. The cost is helping this being learn the truth behind a song which caused a forgotten civilization to vanish and why it was imprisoned.
Anima: Song from the Abyss is launched on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2027.
