Get ready to spray and pray. Daybreak Game Company and partners, Cold Iron Studios, are launching the Xenomorphs on August 25, 2026 in Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2.
Attempting to improve upon its predecessor, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the third-person view of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Alien universe.
With all the things you asked for, like more synergistic squad mechanics, smarter enemies and a fully customizable new Specialist class, this outing is promising to deliver the definitive co-op Aliens experience…and hopefully less hopelessness.
The game will be releasing on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam. There’s also a “40th Anniversary Premium Edition” that includes the base game, as well as “Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack” and “Herk Mondo’s Pest Pack.”
“Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack” takes things back to 1986, where the infestation first began, and gives you her iconic Hanes undershirt and half-overalls look, visuals decals and the fiery modified pulse rifle.
“Herk Mondo’s Pest Pack.” goes a little more recent in its inspiration, and brings the truly WTF appeal of Dark Horse comics’ super Marine. You’ll also get his BFG-worthy pulse rifle.
Additionally there will be a launch DLC pack called “Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack,” which will bring a suitably corporate outfit based on Rain Carradine, the protagonist from the 2024 Alien film, Alien: Romulus. It’ll also keep things cool with Rain’s specially modified pulse rifle, featuring a deadly cryoweapon as an underbarrel bonus.
