With Alan Wake 2 just a few short weeks away, Remedy Entertainment, Spiral House, and Zen Creative have taken the story from the first game in the series and brought it to the world of Fortnite.
The ever-popular battle royale has found numerous ways to bring franchises into its game, whether skins or big events like this one. In Alan Wake: Flashback, you’ll be able to relive the spine-chilling events from the 2010 title, flashlight and all!
Alan Wake: Flashback was built using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite, produced by Epic Games. If you’re unfamiliar with the story here’s a brief overview: “Troubled author Alan Wake embarks on a desperate search for his missing wife, Alice. Following her mysterious disappearance from the Pacific Northwest town of Bright Falls, he discovers pages of a horror story he has supposedly written but has no memory of.”
You can now jump into the recreation, “Rediscover the mysteries of Bright Falls and shine your light on events from Alan Wake in Alan Wake: Flashback (Island Code: 3426-5561-3374).”
Just before the release of Alan Wake 2, cosmetics from the game will also be heading to Fortnite in a Waking Nightmare set in the shop. That will be available starting on October 26th.
