Turn 10’s Alan Hartman Promoted To Head Of Xbox Game Studios

Microsoft has appointed Turn 10’s Alan Hartman as the head of Xbox Game Studios. The news comes from Hartman’s LinkedIn profile, where he updated his role within Microsoft.

“Thrilled to be representing such an elite set of game creators in my new role leading Xbox Game Studios!” Hartman wrote on LinkedIn.

Idle Sloth discovered the update on Twitter earlier this afternoon.

The updated Xbox leadership team continues to evolve as Sarah Bond recently came into a new position alongside several other executives within Microsoft, including Matt Booty, who now oversees ZeniMax and Bethesda.

Hartman began his career with Turn-10 in 2005, where he helped ship several titles. Over the last few years, Hartman moved on to work as corporate vice president of Forza and Fable, the latter title being developed in the same engine used for Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon.

Last month, Microsoft closed a deal with Activision Blizzard worth $69 billion. This now brings franchises like Diablo, Overwatch, Call of Duty, Crash Bandicoot, Tony Hawk, and many more to Xbox.
