Akiba’s Trip: Undead And Undressed Director’s Cut Launching On PC, PS4, And Nintendo Switch On August 1

Comes with the main game, all DLC, and a brand new story route

XSEED Games has announced that Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed Director’s Cut will release on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch consoles on August 1st for $29.99 USD; the Director Cut release was initially released in Japan back in April, but it looks like North America and Europe fans won’t have to wait too long to get their hands on this expanded release of the original 2014 release.

Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed Director’s Cut comes packed with the main game, all the DLC released on the game, including collaborations, and a new story scenario exclusive to this release. The addition in question is a new story route for the game’s Finnish exchange student and part-time maid, Kati Räikkönen, which will be voiced in English and Japanese; it is described as the game’s “true ending. Owners of the original release on PC and PS4 won’t be missing out as paid DLC to upgrade to the Director Cut known as “Kati’s Route” will also be released the same day. But will cost you $7.99 USD.

The original Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed initially launched on PS3, PSVita, and PS4 in 2014, with the PC version following in 2015; the Director’s Cut is set to be the game’s debut on Nintendo’s hybrid platform. To celebrate the new platform release in a big way, XSEED Games is releasing a $39.99 USD physical exclusive “Day One Edition” for Nintendo Switch, which comes with Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed Director’s Cut, a musical selections CD and a set of nine large art cards featuring commemorative illustrations by various Japanese artists.

Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed Director’s Cut will put players into the shoes of Nanashi, the game’s protagonist, who is an otaku mysteriously transformed into a vampire and thrust into a conspiracy of “Synthisters” plaguing the electronics mecca. He is joined by a cast of characters that are a part of the “Akiba Freedom Fighters” as they defend their fellow otakus from vampire predators by exposing them to their weakness, the sun.
