Age of Empires 4

Age of Empires Livestream Will Show Us Age of Empires Mobile and Age of Mythology: Retold Later This Month

The first looks will be a part of other big announcements

The team behind Age of Empires is ready to lay out a ton of content that’s on the way for 2024.

In their most recent update, they announced what they’re calling the New Year, New Age livestream that will be held on February 23rd. There will be a number of updates and some new looks at both Age of Mythology: Retold and Age of Empires Mobile. On top of that, there’s going to be some more information on Age of Empire II and III’s Definitive Editions and new season information on Age of Empire IV.

It sounds like a lot, and it is. So that’s the reason the team at Microsoft say it decided to make a livestream event out of it instead of a lengthy blog post.

Age of Mythology was announced about a year ago, with a brief trailer touting that “Gods will return” and “Heroes will rise.” The real-time strategy game was initially released for PC in 2002 and garnered much acclaim. It spawned numerous expansions and revamped versions on Steam.

Age of Empires Mobile is also on the docket. TiMi Studios has helped bring some major titles and some big-time success to mobile games, including Pokemon Unite, Call of Duty Mobile, and Contra Returns. We’re expected to get a behind-the-scenes look at the development at the studio and what vision they’re creating for the new on-the-go franchise version.

The New Year, New Age livestream will kick off at 1:00 pm EST or 10:00 am PT on February 23rd. Welyn will also host it on their Twitch channel at the same time. Anyone can tune into their stream during and after the announcements for reactions and impressions on what is revealed.
