LEGO Star Wars Tie Interceptor

Check Out the 7 New LEGO Star Wars Sets and Coffee Table Book Coming This May

May the LEGO 4th be with you

Certain generations have grown up with a variety of LEGO phases and styles over the years. Since franchises like Star Wars returned to theatres in the late 90’s, sets have become more and more elaborate and included tons of characters, ships, and locations from the films and tv.

Much of that began 25 years ago when LEGO Star Wars was launched. Since then, hundreds of sets big and small have been released. In 2024, the roster is growing and a special coffee table book has also been made showcasing the creative history of the two iconic brands.

LEGO Star Wars Celebrates The Phantom Menace

It’s also been 25 years since Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace hit theatres. Several sets have been available since the film’s release, but many of the newest sets this year showcase iconic moments and have choices for builders and fans of all ages.

“Remember, concentrate on the moment. Feel, don’t think. Use your instincts.”

That is the quote seen on the Mos Espa Podrace Diorama building set. The photo above shows one of those moments I’ve mentioned: young Anakin Skywalker racing through Tatooine during a pod race.

The 718-piece set will retail for $99.99 CDN.

Of course, it doesn’t just start and end with Anakin and Tatooine. The prequels and The Phantom Menace have more to offer, including the 640-piece Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator.

This set is complete with Maul himself, Obi-Wan and Qui Gon. Keen eyes may also spot Saw Gerrera from Rogue One and various animated shows like Clone Wars. This LEGO set retails for $89.99 CDN.

Lastly is a massive 312-page hardcover coffee table book, LEGO: The Force of Creativity.

The showpiece contains over 50 contributors and features interviews from the LEGO Group and Lucasfilm. It will come in a nice slipcase that will protect the book itself as well.

It will include development art and character designs and promises to give a new insight into how the sets all come together.
