IGN‘s hosting 30 minutes of The Quarry gameplay today and from the looks of it Supermassive Games’ next project is giving off Until Dawn vibes in all the right ways.
Set to launch this summer and published by 2K Games, The Quarry is set during a summer camp visit where a group of teens visiting the Hackett’s Quarry campgrounds discover they’ve bitten off more than they can chew. In a turn of events, the demo we see today is set during the game’s prologue and includes Skyler Gisondo as Max, Siobhan Williams as Laura and Ted Raimi as Travis.
We see some of the new facial capture techniques Supermassive Games has utilized in The Quarry and it seems to be the studio’s most advanced title to date. As someone who found Until Dawn to be one of the most impressive immersion scares to date, I’m excited to see how the formula has evolved.
The Quarry will launch this summer and featured a pretty impressive cast including David Arquette, Ariel Winter, Justice Smith, Brenda Song, Lance Henriksen, Lin Shaye, and more.
